We are continuing to serve our homeless and housing-insecure guests while adhering to the guidelines provided by local agencies and adjusting our policies accordingly. If we deem it necessary to close, we will let you know.
For our guests, staff and volunteers we are:
- Strictly enforcing face coverage for all guests, staff, and volunteers to wear a mask when in public areas.
- Strictly enforcing hand washing procedures before and after obtaining services.
- Strictly enforcing social distancing requirements and limiting the number of individuals in each facility to ensure this.
- Providing take-away breakfasts and lunches.
- Requesting anyone in contact with someone unwell to stay away.
- Requesting avoidance of physical greetings (tapping toes or tapping your heart encouraged!)
- Ensuring that on premises hand sanitizers are full at all times and additional bottles are readily available.
- Ensuring that additional disinfectant cleaning is performed in the reception area and the dining hall. In addition, all tables and solid surfaces, and showers are regularly disinfected by GFW staff and janitorial staff throughout the day.
- Discontinuing clothing and personal item donations unless they are purchased new and delivered through an online retailer. (Please call to ask our needs.)
We recognize that our Day Center is a life-line for our guests. We will continually monitor this developing situation so that we can make changes as needed to ensure our community’s health and well-being.
